Section 1: Health and Well-being Vocabulary

  • La salud y el bienestar - Understand phrases and words related to health such as sano/a (healthy), enfermo/a (sick), fuerte (strong), débil (weak), etc.
  • La comida – Vocabulary around food is essential. Know words related to healthy and unhealthy food like las frutas (fruits), las verduras (vegetables), la comida rápida (fast food), los dulces (sweets), etc.
  • El deporte – Speaking about sports is common. Learn sports vocabulary like el fútbol (football), el baloncesto (basketball), correr (to run), nadar (to swim), etc.

Section 2: Constructing Sentences about Health and Well-being

  • Construct sentences about personal health using key phrases like “Me siento muy sano/a” (I feel very healthy), or “Estoy enfermo/a” (I am sick).
  • Describe your diet saying something like: “Como muchas frutas y verduras” (I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables).
  • Discuss sports activities with phrases such as: “Me gusta correr en el parque” (I like to run in the park).

Section 3: Expressing Opinions

  • Express your views on health and lifestyle using phrases like en mi opinión (in my opinion), creo que (I believe that), pienso que (I think that), etc. For example: “Pienso que es importante hacer deporte” (I think it’s important to do sports).
  • Use the word pero (but) to express contrasting opinions. For instance: “Me gusta la comida rápida, pero sé que no es saludable” (I like fast food, but I know it’s not healthy).

Section 4: Discussing Routines and Activities

  • Share your daily routines with verbs like me levanto (I get up), como (I eat), duermo (I sleep), etc. For example: “Me levanto a las siete de la mañana” (I get up at seven in the morning).
  • Speak about your sports activities using phrases like: “Entreno fútbol dos veces a la semana” (I train football twice a week).

Section 5: Discussing Problems and Solutions

  • Clearly explain health problems using phrases like: “Tengo una enfermedad” (I have an illness) or “Estoy estresado/a” (I am stressed).
  • Propose solutions using modals - debería (should) and podría (could). For instance: “Debería comer menos dulces” (I should eat fewer sweets).
