Newton's Laws
Newton’s Laws
- Understanding motion principles and forces-objects relationships can be achieved by understanding Newton’s three laws.
- First law (law of inertia): An object will stay at rest or in motion at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force.
- Second law (F = ma): Presents the direct relationship between force and acceleration and the inverse relationship with mass.
- Third law: For every action or force, there is an equal and opposite reaction force.
- Knowledge and application of these laws are essential for mastering the Forces and Newton’s Laws part of the curriculum.
