  • Knowledge of subject-specific vocabulary and ability to describe what each subject entails is vital.
  • It’s important to be able to express preferences for certain subjects and teachers, and provide reasons for these preferences.
  • Being able to discuss, analyse and give an opinion about teachers’ teaching styles, strengths and weaknesses often features in the speaking section.

School Day and Timetable

  • Mastery over vocabulary related to school day routines, such as assembly, classroom activities, breaks, and extracurricular activities is needed.
  • Ability to describe a typical school day or week from one’s own perspective.
  • Familiarity with the vernacular for time management, including the Polish translation for hours and minutes is necessary.

  • Proficiency in discussing grades, examinations, and academic achievements.
  • Being able to talk about strengths and weaknesses in each subject area.
  • Conversational skills in discussing personal academic goals, future plans, educational and career aspirations can often be utilised in this section.

The objective is to express ideas and opinions clearly and coherently in Polish. Regular practice, especially in forming complex sentence structures and using a variety of expressions and phrases can greatly improve performance in the speaking section.
