Description of home town (家乡的描述): Be able to describe your home town in both the present and past tense. Mention the size, location, number of inhabitants, and unique features of your home town. Become comfortable with vocabulary related to buildings, public services, and weather conditions.
Local industries (本地产业): Understand the major industries in your home town. This could include agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, technology, etc. Be able to describe what makes these industries significant and how they have evolved over time.
Leisure activities and tourism (休闲活动和旅游): Be familiar with the main attractions in your home town — from natural sites, such as parks and rivers, to man-made attractions, such as museums and shopping centres. You should also know what leisure activities are popular among the locals.

Types of landscape (地貌类型): Understand the different types of landscape that can be found in your geographical surroundings. This could include mountains, plains, hills, rivers, lakes etc.
Climate and seasonal changes (气候和季节变化): Be aware of the climate and typical weather patterns in your area. You should be able to describe the different seasons, and the changes in weather they bring.
Flora and fauna (植物和动物): Know the plants and animals that are commonly found in your geographical surroundings.
Environmental issues (环境问题): Be able to talk about any environmental problems your area is dealing with. This could include pollution, deforestation, natural disasters etc.
