Personal Information

  • Be fluent with Arabic vocabulary for basic personal details like name (اسم), age (عمر), birthday (عيد الميلاد), nationality (جنسية), etc.
  • Develop the ability to use sentences describing your personal details in Arabic, such as “My name is…” (اسمي…), “I am X years old” (عمري X سنوات), and “I come from…” (أنا من…).
  • Demonstrate the ability to discuss your preferences and interests: favourite food (الطعام المفضل), hobbies (هوايات), favourite subjects at school (المواد المفضلة في المدرسة), etc.
  • Understand and use suitable verbs like like (أحب), hate (أكره), love (أعشق), and enjoy (استمتع).

Family

  • Know and appropriately use the Arabic terms for all family members: father (أب), mother (أم), brother (أخ), sister (أخت), etc.
  • Be prepared to describe your family members’ professions, interests and habits. For example, “My father is a doctor” (والدي طبيب), “My sister loves playing football” (أختي تحب لعب كرة القدم).
  • Practice discussing the relationships within your family: “I am close to my mother” (أنا قريب من أمي), “I often argue with my brother” (أنا غالبًا ما أتشاجر مع أخي).
  • Learn to discuss your role in the family and your responsibilities, if any.

Personal Identity

  • Develop comfort talking about your personality using appropriate vocabulary: diligent (مجتهد), lazy (كسول), helpful (مفيد), selfish (أناني), etc.
  • Be ready to share your dreams and aspirations: career goals (الأهداف المهنية), education plans (خطط التعليم), values (القيم), etc.
  • Elaborate on your strengths, using expressions like “I am good at…” (أنا جيد في…) or “I have a talent for…” (لدي موهبة في…). Do the same with weaknesses, such as “I find X difficult…” (أجد صعوبة في X…).
  • Culture and Heritage – Understand how to discuss your cultural background, traditions and heritage.

Make sure your responses include a range of Arabic structures and phrases. Always answer with detailed and elaborative answers and be ready for follow-up questions.
