Media

Expand your vocabulary with terminology linked to diverse forms of media, such as: television (تلفزيون), social media (وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي), newspaper (جريدة), etc.
Prepare to discuss your preferred forms of media and why, for instance, “I prefer social media because it keeps me connected with friends” (أفضل وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لأنها تبقيني على اتصال بالأصدقاء).
Know how to express opinions on different aspects of media like, “I think social media has a big influence on youth culture” (أعتقد أن وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لها تأثير كبير على ثقافة الشباب).
Demonstrate understanding of phrases expressing regular activity, such as “I always check the news in the morning” (أنا دائما أتحقق من الأخبار في الصباح).

Entertainment

Enrich your word bank with expressions related to entertainment: movies or cinema (أفلام أو سينما), theatre (مسرح), concerts (حفلات), etc.
Develop your ability to detail your entertainment preferences, like “I enjoy going to the cinema as it’s relaxing” (أستمتع بالذهاب إلى السينما لأنه مريح)
Learn how to explain why you dislike certain forms of entertainment, for example, “I do not like theatre as I find it boring” (لا أحب المسرح لأنني أجده مملاً).
Be ready to share opinions on the influence of entertainment on society. For instance, “Movies can have a strong impact on people’s ideas” (الأفلام يمكن أن تكون لها تأثير قوي على أفكار الناس).

Youth Culture

Extend your vocabulary with youth culture-related terms and phrases like: trends (الاتجاهات), music (الموسيقى), fashion (الأزياء), etc.
Be prepared to speak about youth culture trends and their influence. For example, “Current music trends have a significant impact on the youth” (إن الاتجاهات الموسيقية الحالية لها تأثير كبير على الشباب).
Learn to discuss changes in youth culture. For instance, “Youth culture has evolved with the development of social media” (تطورت ثقافة الشباب مع تطور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي).
Show how to express future predictions using phrases like “I believe that…” (أعتقد أن…) or “I predict that…” (أتوقع أن…) in sentences like “I predict that social media will continue to shape youth culture” (أتوقع أن وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي ستستمر في تشكيل ثقافة الشباب).

Doing lots of practice in these areas, using varied language and comprehensive vocabulary, should help build confidence for the spoken examination. Highlight the key phrases and concepts that are most relevant to your experiences and practising using them in spoken conversation.
