TYPES OF LICENSED ESTABLISHMENTS

Pubs and Bars

  • Speciality Restaurants: These establishments primarily serve cuisines from a particular region or country. Their bar offerings often reflect the type of cuisine served.

Hotels

  • Hotel Bars: Primarily intended for hotel guests, but are open to the public as well. They often offer a comprehensive range of beverages.
  • Residential Hotels: These are fully serviced hotels with bars and restaurants for the residents. Non-residents can also avail of the food and drink services.

Clubs and Entertainment Venues

  • Nightclubs: These are entertainment venues with a bar that usually operate late into the night. They offer a variety of alcoholic beverages including signature cocktails.
  • Members’ Clubs: These are establishments available only to members and their guests. The bar service often includes luxury offerings.
  • Sports and Leisure Clubs: Often have bars and restaurants to cater to their members. They serve alcohol in conjunction with sport-related or leisure activities.

Retail Outlets

  • Supermarkets and Off Licences: These typically sell alcohol for consumption off the premises. They offer a wide range of branded alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Event Venues

  • Theatres and Cinemas: Some may have licensed bars serving drinks before performances and during intervals.
  • Stadiums and Concert Venues: These establishments often have numerous bars and concession stands selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during events.
