Promoting a Point of View

  • Use of persuasive language: Choice of persuasive and emotive words can affect the reader’s understanding and feelings about your argument. These can include the use of rhetorical questions, emotive language, and powerful phrases.

  • Structure: Start with an introduction that outlines your point of view, follow with points supporting your view, then consider counter-arguments with your rebuttals. End with a strong conclusion that summarises your argument and reinforces your point of view.

  • Use of language techniques: Employing language techniques, such as metaphors, similes, and analogies, can enrich your argument and make it more engaging.
