Dracula: Character Profiles

Count Dracula: Ancient and powerful vampire who originates from Transylvania, his primary aim is to move to England and spread his curse of the undead.
Lucy Westenra: A beautiful and vivacious young woman, her downfall becomes the central narrative after she’s turned into a vampire by Dracula.
Quincey Morris: A brave American man, deep-hearted and a loyal friend, his love for Lucy is unrequited but he plays a key role in the battle against Dracula.
Mina Murray: A strong and intelligent woman, her character becomes more central as she too becomes a victim of Dracula but utilises her strength and courage to assist in his downfall.
Gabriel Van Helsing: A Dutch doctor with a wide range of interests and accomplishments, he is best known as a vampire hunter and the archenemy of Count Dracula.
Jonathan Harker: A solicitor who is sent to do business with Count Dracula, he then becomes instrumental in the fight against Dracula after realising his true nature.
Renfield: A patient at Dr. Seward’s asylum, his madness and obsession with consuming life in order to prolong his own resonates with Dracula’s immortality.
Dr. John Seward: A psychiatrist and administrator of the asylum, he turns out to be a major player in the struggle against Dracula after his beloved, Lucy, is turned into a vampire.
Arthur Holmwood: A wealthy Englishman and Lucy’s fiance, his love for Lucy eventually leads him to join the fight against Dracula.
Mrs. Westenra: Lucy’s mother, who, due to her devastating ignorance about the supernatural, unintentionally aids Dracula in his quest to make Lucy a vampire.
