  • How to describe your partner/Partenaire:
    • Mon partenaire est intelligent et amical. (My partner is smart and friendly.)
    • Nous aimons passer du temps ensemble. (We like spending time together.)
    • Nous nous soutenons toujours. (We always support each other.)
  • How to express feelings about your partner:
    • J’adore mon partenaire. (I adore my partner.)
    • Mon partenaire me rend heureux. (My partner makes me happy.)
    • J’ai beaucoup de chance d’avoir mon partenaire. (I’m very lucky to have my partner.)
  • How to describe your relationship:
    • Nous sommes ensemble depuis deux ans. (We’ve been together for two years.)
    • Notre relation est forte. (Our relationship is strong.)
    • Nous partageons beaucoup d’intérêts communs. (We share many common interests.)
  • Phrases to talk about future plans with your partner:
    • Nous prévoyons de voyager ensemble. (We plan to travel together.)
    • J’aimerais me marier avec mon partenaire un jour. (I would like to marry my partner one day.)
  • Practise using these terms and phrases in sentences and in conversation to improve fluency and confidence for the speaking section.

  • Conjugate verbs in different tenses to describe past experiences, current feelings and future plans with your partner.

  • Understand cultural differences and similarities about partnerships in French-speaking countries.

  • Most importantly, use positive and negative sentences, as well as questions, to show a range of linguistic skills. Example: Je ne peux pas imaginer ma vie sans mon partenaire. (I can’t imagine my life without my partner.) Est-ce que ton partenaire t’aide à faire tes devoirs? (Does your partner help you with your homework?)
