Accomodation

Different types of accommodation: hostel (une auberge de jeunesse), hotel (un hôtel), bed and breakfast (une chambre d’hôte), camping site (un camping), apartment (un appartement), villa (une villa).
Booking accommodation: To book (réserver), I would like to book (Je voudrais réserver), Do you have any free rooms? (Avez-vous des chambres libres?), A single room (une chambre individuelle), a double room (une chambre double), breakfast included (le petit déjeuner est inclus).
Asking for facilities: Does the room have…? (Est-ce que la chambre a…?), a bathroom (une salle de bain), a balcony (un balcon), air conditioning (la climatisation), a sea view (une vue sur la mer), wifi (le wifi), a safe (un coffre-fort).
Describing a stay at a hotel: I stayed (Je suis resté), The hotel was… (L’hôtel était…), clean (propre), dirty (sale), noisy (bruyant), quiet (calme), comfortable (confortable), inconvenient (incommode).
Dealing with problems at a hotel: The light doesn’t work (La lumière ne fonctionne pas), There is no hot water (Il n’y a pas d’eau chaude), The wifi doesn’t work (Le wifi ne fonctionne pas), I’ve lost my key (J’ai perdu ma clé).
Positive and negative opinions about accommodation: I liked (J’ai aimé), I didn’t like (Je n’ai pas aimé), The staff were … (Le personnel était …), helpful (aidant), rude (impoli), The location was… (L’endroit était…), convenient (pratique), far from the city centre (loin du centre ville).
Vocabulary related to payment: To pay (payer), The bill (l’addition), How much is it for one night? (Combien coûte une nuit?).
