Beliefs about Jesus:

Jesus’s Life and Teachings:

  • His birth, life, teachings, death, and resurrection are detailed in the New Testament of the Bible.
  • His teachings, often expressed through parables, highlight themes such as love, forgiveness, and obedience to God.
  • Miracles performed by Jesus, as described in the Bible, are seen as indicators of his divine nature.

Jesus’s Death and Resurrection:

  • The events of Jesus’s death, known as the crucifixion, are a pivotal aspect of Christian teaching. It is believed that his suffering and death were a sacrifice for the sins of humanity.
  • Christian belief asserts that Jesus was resurrected three days after his death – an event called the Resurrection. This signifies victory over sin and death, reinforcing the doctrine of eternal life.
  • Christians believe in the Ascension, which is Jesus’s return to heaven.

The Second Coming of Jesus:

  • The belief in the Second Coming or Parousia is a future event where Jesus is expected to return to earth to judge the living and the dead.
