Beliefs about Jesus:

- Incarnation refers to the belief that Jesus became human, but remained God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.
- According to Christian teachings, Jesus’ purpose was to bring salvation and reconciliation between God and humanity. This is expressed through the idea of atonement.
Jesus’s Life and Teachings:
- His birth, life, teachings, death, and resurrection are detailed in the New Testament of the Bible.
- His teachings, often expressed through parables, highlight themes such as love, forgiveness, and obedience to God.
- Miracles performed by Jesus, as described in the Bible, are seen as indicators of his divine nature.
Jesus’s Death and Resurrection:
- The events of Jesus’s death, known as the crucifixion, are a pivotal aspect of Christian teaching. It is believed that his suffering and death were a sacrifice for the sins of humanity.
- Christian belief asserts that Jesus was resurrected three days after his death – an event called the Resurrection. This signifies victory over sin and death, reinforcing the doctrine of eternal life.
- Christians believe in the Ascension, which is Jesus’s return to heaven.
The Second Coming of Jesus:
- The belief in the Second Coming or Parousia is a future event where Jesus is expected to return to earth to judge the living and the dead.
- Different interpretations exist about the nature and timing of this event, but it is a common element in Christian eschatology.
- After the Second Coming, it is believed that God will create a new heaven and a new earth in an event known as the New Creation.
