- Eschatology in Islam refers to the belief in Akhirah, the life after death.
Resurrection and Day of Judgement
- Muslims believe in resurrection, the belief that people will be brought back to life after death.
- They also believe in the Day of Judgement (Yawm ad-Din), when every person will stand before God (Allah) and their deeds will be judged.
Heaven and Hell
- In Islam, heaven is known as Jannah. It is described as a beautiful place where faithful Muslims will live forever in peace and happiness.
- Jahannam, or Hell, is viewed as a place of punishment for those who have turned away from God and committed grave sins.
Predestination
- The doctrine of predestination (Qadr) is a widely held belief in Islam. It is the idea that all things, good and evil, are preordained by God.
Messianic Hope
- There is also a belief in a figure known as the Mahdi, who is prophesied to unite all Muslims and establish justice before the end of times.
