The Question of God

Christians believe in the existence of one God, who is all-knowing, omnipresent, and has eternal existence.
The concept of God in Christianity is Trinitarian, encompassing God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Believers point to creation and the design of the universe as evidence of God’s existence, known as the Cosmological and Teleological arguments respectively.
The moral argument posits that a moral law exists, suggesting a supreme moral lawgiver - God.

God is seen as perfectly good, merciful, benevolent, and forgiving.
God is also depicted as omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (having unlimited power), and omnipresent (present everywhere).
Christians believe God is both transcendent (beyond human understanding and physical universe) and immanent (involved in the world and accessible to humans).

Christians believe that God’s love and justice are perfectly balanced.
God’s love is demonstrated through his grace, mercy, and the sacrificial love shown by Jesus Christ.
God’s justice is portrayed through the idea that God will judge everyone fairly according to their actions, and this is linked to teachings about sin, salvation, heaven, and hell.

Christians communicate with God through prayer, asking for guidance, expressing gratitude, or seeking forgiveness.
Worship often involves communal singing, reading Bible passages, and sermons to learn about God’s attributes and teachings.
Sacraments such as Baptism and the Eucharist are significant acts of worship that have deep symbolic meanings, helping Christians to connect with God.

Christians believe God reveals himself through revelation – divine disclosure of knowledge about Himself, His nature, and His purpose.
This revelation comes in various forms, such as through the Bible, the life of Jesus Christ (incarnation), and personal experiences of believers.
Prophetic revelations are also seen as God’s way of guiding and communicating His will to the prophets, who then share it with the people.
