Hazards Caused by Climate Change
Climate scientists agree that climate change will result in an ‘__intensification, acceleration or enhancemen__t’ of the global hydrological cycle.
Impacts will vary around the world and will be experienced differently in different climatic zones.
Modelling climate change trends is difficult due to:
- Climate dynamics – The way the atmosphere, ocean, terrestrial, cryosphere and biosphere interact is only partially understood.
- Due to teleconnections (connections between the worlds climate systems) it is difficult to distinguish between the impacts of oscillations such as ENSO and climate warming
- Global records are very incomplete
